Prior to going to sleep I learned of some unfortunate news. To make a long story short another person got caught up in the system. I'm feeling some type of way because I knew the person and his potential was great. It kills me inside seeing another black man fall to the system. This is another reason why I feel like beyourowndad can change lives because the busier you stay the less trouble you get in to. I know all parents once said that to their child and its true. If beyourowndad can create events and activities in the Taunton area than that will encourage people to come out and be productive. Also, possibly develop jobs because help will be needed to organize the events. I'm thinking ahead of myself but I just hope the brand will make a positive impact on lives.
As far as the brand goes the wristband movement has been lovely! I passed out a few this past weekend and I already received feedback. I feel like an idea of mine is successful if I at least receive support from a person I didn't know. That just means another person is added to the movement. Today is just another day to spread the brand and grind!
I'm excited to share the 2nd webisode of the sideline story is up on the site. I'm also going to post the link in this post. The T+T league has been phenomenal so far. Let me take this time to pass an invite to anybody who would like to come and support. Games are at the boys and girls club in Taunton, MA every Sunday for the rest of the summer. Games begin at 3 and go until 7. We have a Dj and of course the beyourowndad team in effect. Stop by and get yourself a wristband on me!
Once again this is just the beginning! The 1 month anniversary for the blog is falling on the 12 of July. At the moment the blog is at about 1700 views! I hope to break 2000 by the 12th so please share the link!

Its sad that it seems all the youth or people we grow up with are going down the right path and making excuses for things they didnt have. We need to look inside ourselves and find the strength and inspiration to make a different paths for ourselves I wish more people would realize that
