Power In Action Peaceful Protest March in LA

There is Power in Action

The constant murdering of black males in America by the hands of the police has been the topic of discussion in 2016. Many people choose to voice their opinion behind closed doors through social media and office conversations, but individuals like Cedric the Entertainer choose to take action. On September 28, 2016 supporters from everywhere gathered at the intersection of Wilton & Sunset Blvd. in Hollywood, CA joining in unity and taking a stand for the injustices in America.

The group of 100+ people marched down Sunset Blvd to the front of the CNN building chanting “THIS IS WHAT LOVE LOOKS LIKE” in response to the recent shooting and killing of Terrence Crutcher and Keith Lamont Scott.

Prior to beginning the positive protest Cedric the Entertainer shared “the Artistic Alliance for Justice is a group of motivated people that met about a month ago at my house trying to figure a way to lend their voices.” He continued to explain that the march is about the recent police killings, wanting to see reform in police work, and encouraging people to get registered and vote for this upcoming election.

 

Members of the protest held signs of “Unity” up and down the street while wearing shirts with the phrase “Power in Action” on the front of them. This protest is one yard gained on the field of social injustice with hopes of sparking other actions for change.     

The protest was welcomed by Black Hollywood and known supporters such as model Eva Marcille, who used her own platform to spread awareness. Added celebrities who joined in the peaceful march were Claudia Jordan, Kym Whitley, and Gabrielle Dennis

Lebron James' "The Wall" will change Family Night this upcoming season

Family night on weekdays are about to become more exciting than your average night. “Take Your Best Shot!” is going to be the catch phrase for the next hit show “The Wall” on the NBC network. “The Wall” is executively produced by NBA Superstar Lebron James, executive producer/host Chris Hardwick, and executive producer Maverick Carter.  This game show will have you and your loved ones in a rage while screaming at the television set. The 1^st screening was held at the NeueHouse in Hollywood, California on Friday September 23, 2016.

 The show gives a pair of teammates the ultimate chance to win up to millions dollars in cash prices every night as long as your follow simple rules. The first rule is one partner must answer a question correctly; so their partner can receive a green ball that will be dropped down the wall to add value to the winning total. If the question is answered incorrectly than the partner will receive a red ball that will be dropped down the wall. The value of the red ball will take away from the total value negatively. The value at the end of the show will be the ultimate cash prize!

Host of the show Chris Hardwick said one of his favorite elements of the show is the emotional connection with the contestants. The pair of contestants is relatable people such as marriage couples and father-daughter duos. Each team has a touching life story that explains how winning the cash prize can positively change their lives. James spoke on how important it was to produce a show that changes lives. Also, adding that it was also important to create a show that his family would watch and look forward too. “The Wall” is going to be a great loving show for all audiences.

Rap Beef just got more hot. The Game responds with "Pest Control" his own version of "OOOUUU" Remix

ahhh and the rap beef continues....

You know im all about positivity but I must admit this rap beef is entertaining. The Game started with 92 bars, meek responded with his Philly team on his remix to OOOUU, and now The Game responds back with his own remix to OOOUUU  called "Pest Control" with plently of shots thrown at Meek Mill and Sean Kingston. I have to say The Game was clever in this diss track. The audio clips that he chose to add on the track gives it a comedic side when you truly understand the whole story lmao. Check it out below!

Survivors Remorse Season 3 Episode 9 Aftershow

We are coming to the end of Starz hit show Survivors Remorse Season 3. Its been a interesting season to say the least. We covered episode 9 over on the Aftershow @ Afterbuzz Last night. We all agreed that this episode was great but LEFT FIELD! By saying that I mean the topics that they covered was out of the norm. The juice that we received as an audience was great but a little too late! The scenes in episode 9 were all great but it got to a point where the episode was so juicy that they jam packed everything that we wanted in the season in 25 minutes. For example, the topic of Cam aborting a baby back when he was in highschool was great to touch on but should have been handled in its own episode. Meek Mill drops "OOOUU" (The Game Diss) 2016

On the last episode of "In the Booth" on bidchat I spoke about the rap beef between The Game and Meek Mill. It was a social media talk shit weekend. Sean Kingston joined in the beef. A couple pictures and videos were exchanged. Meek Mill just came back with a diss track called "OOOUUU" and he went harder at The Game than when he did Drake. This is how he should have sounded when he was going against Drake. But, he did come back hard though check it out below!

Catfish Season 5 Episode 18 Aftershow

Wassup #BYODFAM I've been more busy than usual lately. Which is a good thing in my book. I always say if you have time on your hands than your not taking advantage of the day. But, I always try to update the blog as much as I can.

This week I launched my first show on the Bidchat app. So far the app itself has been working out some kinks being that its the first week with a lot of traffic. But, so far its been a great experience. Make sure to download the app, create an account, and look up my name "Jimmy V" in the search box. My show "In the booth" goes live Monday, Wednesdays, and Fridays @ 2 p.m. pacific time/5  p.m. east coast time.

The Rap Game Season 2 Episode 7 Aftershow featuring Lil key(@bmorelilkey) and "momager" (@mamakey_)

The Rap Game Season 2 has been a fun ride for both the contestants and the audience. Being able to watch the ups and downs of the contestants of The Rap Game while competing for a record deal and balancing out relationships with their managers has been exciting. Jimmy V gets his own show!!!

#BYODFAM it's been a crazy journey of ups and downs since I decided to make the move to California. As a matter of fact, it will officially make two years at the end of this month of September. But, leaving my home state of Massachusetts and adventuring into a whole new world has been a life changing experience. Moving is pretty much a new slate....a new opportunity to chase after a life that you see for yourself. You can only decide how successful YOU want to be depending on how much effort you put into your craft. You must take full responsibility and try to capitalize on every opportunity that comes your way. I'll be the first to say you won't get every opportunity but if you stay ready you don't have to get ready! When the right opportunity that is meant for you comes across your path you must be ready to capitalize on it. So, if you've been following my blog posts I hinted a few months ago that I landed my own show on a new app. And, yes the time has FINALLY come....

Ya Boy JIMMY V has his own channel/show coming to your cell phone screen!!! A new app that's just been released called BidChat is the new wave that focuses on live streaming. A great interactive app in which I'll be one of the broadcasters that can host their own show at any time. I've named my show "In the Booth" which will air Monday, Wednesday's, and Friday's at 2 p.m. Pacific Time (5 p.m. Eastern Time). My show will be where motivation and Hip Hop collide! I have something for everyone and I'm hella excited for you to join in on my show. During my live airing you can "bid" to chat live with me for up to a certain amount of minutes and you can be featured on the show! All proceeds from the app go to known charities. This is gonna be fun! So this is what I need you to do right now...
