True or False: Is Truth the Leader of The Class of 2020

         All right, rap fans the rap game is about to go back to its normal state. Right now rap fans are caught in the vibe and "wave"a record gives them. They are more caught up in their feeling it gives them compared to what the lyrics are actually saying. Don't worry there is a 16 year old artist that goes by the name "Truth" out of Tampa, Florida getting ready to save the game. Truth is a creative raw talent that is able to share a message in his music to stand up for what you believe in. In a recent interview he mentioned "Don't let other people effect who you are".

        I met Truth on The Rap Game Aftershow when my panel and I opened up our phone lines to anyone watching or listening via Youtube/Itunes and Truth was our first caller. He joined in our conversation about the The Rap Game and shared that he was an artist on the grind too. When we gave him the chance to spit a freestyle and took advantage of the moment and didn't disappoint. Check it out below:

Since his appearance on the AfterbuzzTV aftershow which has seen special guests like creator and legend Jermaine Dupri, winner of Season 2 of The Rap Game Mani, winner of Season 3 of The Rap Game Nova, and numerous contestants from seasons 1 though 4, Truth has been on a steady grind of creating music and building his fan base. He is making a strong effort on social media to get on the upcoming season of The Rap Game which is coming back for a season 5. Truth creates 60 second freestyles over beats and has all of his fans tag Jermaine Dupri. I'm sure Jermaine's Instragram comment section is 50 % Truth's fan base. Which is why Truth needs to be on season 5 because he already has a growing fan base and a unique flow. Why Easter Weekend is Special To Me

 Every year around this time I like to share this experience.

In the bible Good Friday is the day when Jesus Christ was crucified on the cross. It was the day he died for our sins. Growing up in the church the teenagers and adults would do a 30-hour famine. A 30-hour famine is fasting for 30 hours starting on Friday night and only drinking water (not eating any food) while doing community work and group building activities throughout the weekend. On Easter Sunday we would have a feast in celebration of our accomplishments. I participated in this two years in a row. Unknowingly theses experiences have played a major role in my development.

The first few hours of not eating anything are fine but hours 12-30 test your discipline and focus. My stomach would growl and I would begin to realize how important food is for everyday activities. My smelling senses would increase and I could smell food from miles away. The temptation is everywhere and the true test becomes being able to last until hour 30. The last hour I would begin to shake and want to quit, but I always knew the prize after hour 30 is the greatest. And, no its not the eggs, pancake, and various food we would eat. For me, the greatest accomplishment is being able to say I lasted 30 hours.

I wanted to share this because 1. This weekend brings up those memories and 2.When you have a goal just know the final hours before completing that goal will be the hardest. If you stay focused and disciplined the reward of achieving that goal will push you to higher levels in life.

How To Become a Drone Pilot feat. Dominique Lockhart - Straight Topics Ep. 7

             Have you ever watched a film and wondered how a director was able to capture a shot 500 ft in the air? I always asked that question and one day I found the answer to my question: a DRONE! (I always thought it was called droid). For those of you unfamiliar a drone in my opinion is a "flying camera". But, the technical definition according to dictionary.com is an unmanned aircraft or ship that can navigate autonomously, without human control or beyond line of sight. With that being said my follow up question was "How does a person become a drone pilot?" Which I can now introduce my special guest for this episode of Straight Topics Dominique Lockhart.

Dominique is a good friend and neighbor of mine that I met after moving to California. The Truth about Bow Wow Getting Punched Out Video- Vlog #8

Wassup #BYODFAM its been a hectic week for ya boy so far. I had a interview set up through the outlet I work for EURweb.com for a sit down interview with Shad Moss aka Bow Wow. I was told Bow Wow's team reached out to us during the weekend trying to set this meet up. We agreed that the interview will be set up for Tuesday March 13th at 11:30 A.M. I was assigned this interview job so I prepared my questions. His record "Drunk Off Ciroc" was released as I was preparing my questions ironically so I knew at this point this wasn't a random interview and it would be a good one.

The following morning I arrive at the studio 15 minutes prior to the scheduled interview time and prepared myself as I was waiting for Shad Moss to show up. After an hour Shad did not show up so I reached out to my outlet who gave me his publicist number. I reached out to the publicist via phone call and text and I received no response. I waited at the studio until 1: 00 p.m. until I decided to leave. I wasted an hour and 45 minutes waiting for him.

Ironically, later on that night a video was released of Bow Wow getting punched out at a future concert reportedly 4-5 months ago. Its not a surprise to me that the video surfaced because I believe the interview he would of had with me was going to address some questions about his issues with Chris Brown that he mentioned in "Drunk Off Ciroc". Which then would have had people talking about his new record. But, his original plan didn't work so he purposely released that punching video to get social media/press talking about him which would result in people checking out his music! I vlogged the whole thing check it here:

My second part of my vlog is some behind the scenes footage of Atlantic Record's Bri Steve's New Music Video. It was a dope concept involving a bank robbery and the vibes on set were all positive. Until, the cops came with a shotgun cocked and ready to go! I guess some people thought we were actually robbing a bank and they called the cops on us. SMH. But, in the end I was glad to be apart of the project and can't wait to share with you guys the final product.

Build Your Empire or Be A Slave

Wassup #BYODFAM! Before this week begins I wanted to share a video I created this past weekend. I was on set for a tv show where I had the role of a slave. (figures!) And, before shooting the scene I was involved in I had some time on my hands. So, I grabbed a few actors and asked if they can help me shoot a video. This idea simply came from having a slave wardrobe on and incorporating my Building My Empire hat. I shared it on social media this past weekend and many people said it was genius. SUZANNE DELAURENTIIS VIEWING PARTY: Honoring Our Veterans Hollywood Style

Hollywood Producer Suzanne DeLaurentiis held her annual Oscar Viewing Gala on March 4, 2018 to honor our Veterans at the Intercontinental Hotel in Century City. The Gala included an award presentation for both men and women in the United States Military. The honorees being awarded were as follows: Paul Supp, SGM Phillip Vince Jacques, Major Lynette Jones, and Clyde “George” Lines. A few honorees spoke with Eurweb and shared how special this moment of being honored made them even more proud to be a representative of the United States of America.

                The red carpet event not only had Veterans, but many entertainers within the industry that were excited for what is to come following the carpet: The Oscars. As the guests arrived looking suited and dazzled in their attire each guest was asked “What film are you rooting for tonight?” There was a common vote for Jordan Peele’s “Get Out” to receive the Best Original Screen Play Award. With the follow up question “Why the film Get Out?” many actors and actresses shared how important it was to share the narrative that Get Out has been able to give its audience.  Within hours the guest found out Jordan Peele became the first African American Director to win Best Original Screen Play for “Get Out”. Big Congratulations to Jordan Peele!

                The Gala is a great event to raise awareness for Veterans and Suzanne DeLaurentiis deserves all the praise for supporting our troops by using her platform for awareness.

Kraig Smith | MVP of Season 3 Roast Me - Straight Topics Episode 5

Kraig Smith is a talented comedian that I first took notice from the web show "Roast Me" off of the All Deff Digital Youtube platform. Roast Me is a show of comedic insults by comedians willing to be insulted in a controlled environment. After crossing paths in a gym near by Kraig and I have built a cool friendship with one another.

5 Reasons to Watch "On The Run Eatin" hosted by N.O.R.E

Wassup #BYODFAM I want to put you guys on to a new dope cooking show called "On The Run Eatin" hosted by rapper/entrepreneur N.O.R.E. I grew up listening to N.O.R.E's music and I've watched him re-brand himself these past few years.

In the podcast world N.O.R.E has a show called "Drink Champs" where he has Hip Hop Legends come on the show and share stories of their experience in the Hip Hop game. He's had notable guests on the show such as Fabolous, Diddy, Jadakiss, Jermaine Dupri, DMX, and the list goes on. His podcast is one of my favorites to listen to because its all unscripted. The podcast gives the listener the feel as if they have a seat at the table taking shots of liquor with everyone in on the conversation. Oh Yeah....the more the guests drink the more entertaining the interviews get. But, this write up isn't about Drink Champs.

"On The Run Eatin" is a great mix of what happens when you mix cooking and hip hop together. To keep it a 100 "On The Run Eatin" is going to blow every other cooking show out the water. FACTZ! Here's 5 reasons why:

1. The show introduces the viewers to new food locations in the most popping cities.

2. The show lets the viewer know where their favorite entertainers eat at which well help viewers get that picture or autograph they always wanted to get. Special entertainers joining him this season are Big Boi from Outcast, Amber Rose, CeeLo Green and more!

3. The critiques from N.O.R.E. and his crew will be raw and uncensored. There wont be none of that "politically correct' bullsh*t responses when their food makes it it to their table.

4. N.O.R.E. lets you in on his lifestyle. In this world where snapchat and Instagram stories are new TV channels this show gives you another view on this rappers lifestyle. From his restaurant choices to what strip clubs the crew will  make it to at night; I know the audience is going to enjoy every second of it. I know I do! Plus, if you are unaware of how throwing anywhere from 5k-100k of ones in the strip club looks like than N.O.R.E. and his crew is going to show your personally. The episodes remind me of a long ass rap music video LOL. And, that is whats so dope about the show.

5. N.O.R.E. is hilarious! One of his nicknames is "That Drunk Uncle" at the bbq. He gives the average joe REAL feedback response on food, but he has a millionaire budget. He's funny without trying to be funny and those are the best people to be around. On top of that he will show us the best of the best (the champagne, the liquor, the deserts, etc..) a restaurant has to offer.

Those were just 5 reasons why you should watch "On The Run Eating". Oh yea......let me slow that down...C-O-O-K-I-N-G Show!
