NFL 2018 Playoff Wild Card Round Predictions

Tennessee Titans @ Kansas City Chiefs Saturday 4:35 PM ET, 1:35 PM PT

The Titans squeezed into the playoffs after defeating the Jaguars last week, to secure the 5th seed in the AFC. Up until last week, Jacksonville lost 3 straight and struggled to move the ball on offense due to their inconsistent offensive line. The Chiefs on the other hand have gotten over their strong mid season slump, capitalizing on the 4 weeks with W’s. Alex Smith has been below average this season but so has Marcus Mariota and his offensive line. I'm assuming Arrowhead stadium will live up to its history as being the loudest stadium in football, creating a loud party atmosphere for ballhawks like Marcus Peters.

    Chiefs 24-13

Atlanta Falcons @ Los Angeles Rams Saturday 8:15 PM ET, 5:15 PM PT

The Atlanta Falcons have seemed to turn their season around by winning some big games lately to jump into the playoffs as the last slot in the NFC. But they could be in trouble in this first round matchup with young and talented Rams squad that's hungry. But this is L.A.’s first appearance in the playoffs, which is important to keep in mind. The Falcons should be fearless having been to the superbowl last year, due to smackin up the NFC squads on their way there with a very similar team to last years. L.A. looks very strong with MVP candidate Todd Gurley running the rock and 2nd year QB Jared Goff looking extremely comfortable in McVay’s offense. Sean McVay and the Wade Phillips tandem should make the NFC nervous, because of all the talent they have around them. Watch out for the Rams.

Rams 34-24

Buffalo Bills @ Jacksonville Jaguars Sunday 1:05 PM ET, 10:05 AM PT

The Buffalo Bills come into this game with a questionable star running back in LeSean “Shady” McCoy. I bank on him playing injured or not, due to the fact he hasn't been in the playoffs much, and for the simple fact if he doesn't play, the chances of them beating Jacksonville and scoring on that defense, is slim to none. I really can’t see this one being a good game to tune in on, because both teams mirror each other on what they want to do to win, and that’s run the ball and play good defense. I think the Jags will be better at both Sunday, making Blake Bortles a winning QB in the playoffs???

Jags 21-10

Carolina Panthers @ New Orleans Saints Sunday 4:40 PM ET, 1:40 PM PT

The Panthers look strong heading into the playoffs after getting Greg Olsen back towards the end of the season. Cam Newton looks more confident after having a rough season compared to his normal play. Luke Kuechly and his defense look to stop a future HOF and 2 solid running backs in Alvin Kamara, (who is potentially the offensive rookie of the year) and Mark Ingram. The Saints beat Carolina twice already this season, and match up with them again in the who dat superdome, who should make this defense fly around, lead by the potential rookie of the year on the defensive side, Marshon Lattimore. The Saints have a bright future down the road with 2 young ballers on both sides. I see New Orleans creating turnovers, due to lack of weapons in Cam’s offensive attack.

Saints 24-20
