Chance The Rapper Donates $1 Million Dollars to The Chicago School System

I love when I hear how much positive impact the Hip Hop culture/artists make on the world. Yesterday, Grammy winner Chance The Rapper announced that he will be donating $1 million dollars to Chicago Public Schools for Arts Education. The same education system that he grew up in. The donation is to serve the youth of Chicago but also is a "call to action" for city officials like Governor Rauner. The 23 year old musician spoke to the media and students of Westcott Elementary School saying "Gov Rauner, do your job."

This action by Chance The Rapper shows that he supports the Chicago School system but also shows that he is willing to donate his own funds for the betterment of his hometown. Chance is a great inspiration and received positive feedback from many celebrity influencers including names like Michelle Obama.
