Patriots fall to 12-4

OK, i know the game was ugly. The patriots didn't have much offense or defense going for them. Tom Brady only threw 5 times in the first half. C'mon this wasn't the New England Patriots squad that we watched and cheered for all season. So what does this lost mean....

This lost means the Patriots don't clinch home field advantage throughout the playoffs smh! But, they still have the chance to be the #1 seed if Denver loses to San Diego later on today. Should we be worried as the playoffs begin after this week? Yes and No and let me tell you why....

No, we shouldn't be worried because we have a first round bye which means we have time to rest. Everybody knows we got hit with the injury bug BIG time this season. Our key receivers (Edelman, Amendola, Gronk) have all suffered an injury at some point this season. Having a first round bye allows more resting time as well as preperation for the first playoff game.

Yes, we should be worried because if our starting core isn't back by the first playoff game then we have to play with the line up that we had today. That line up didn't have enough juice to take down a losing record team like the Miami Dolphins than what makes us think we can take down a winning record playoff team?!?

So what now? We watch the rest of the league and see if the Patriots will stay the #1 seed. Whether they are 1st or 2nd seed we will see them again in action the weekend of Jan 16-17. See you Pats fan then...
