The Game looking for receipts!

The #FlintWaterCrisis is a real situation people! I posted a blog post last month speaking on the crisis and how different celebrities such as P. Diddy and Mark Wahlberg are coming together to make donations for the people of Flint. Earlier this week I went ahead and posted a picture on my Instagram of Hip Hop mogul Russel Simmons actually being in Flint, Michigan and visiting people's homes to see the actual water that is coming out of the sewage. Russel Simmons visited a family that use the government provided filters. Simmons tested the filters on the spot and found out they are ineffective! The family is really struggling from this disaster and the children suffer from lead poising as well. A really sad story to share but once again THIS IS A REAL SITUATION!

Compton born rapper "THE GAME" has decided to contribute to the efforts in Flint and is donating $1,000,000 in water bottles. The Game's Robin Hood Project foundation teamed up with Avita Water and matched a $500,000 dollar donation that came straight from The Game's bank account. To prove he made the donation The Game to a screen shot of his bank account and posted the wire transfer on his IG page. Was the screen shot needed? Or is this just another way to show everybody that he has money?

I like the method The Game has chosen to spread awareness to donate because he's showing actual receipts of his donation. If his donation doesn't catch someones eye I'm sure his bank account will. Many celebrities or wealthy people say they donated this and that to just look like they care. You know...to have the media and #bloggers like myself write up a great story on how they are help making a change. #TheGame put it all out there and even challenged other celebrities to match his donation. Under his IG post of his wire transfer The Game expresses his interest in seeing others donate to the situation in Flint and show proof that they actually did much like how he did. He even recognized Madonna and Jimmy Fallon for donating $10,000 but followed up with "that's cute, but not nearly enough". It looks like #TheGame is serious about Flint and I like how he is making an effort when many others just sit around and watch. I can't forget to mention The Game was out of the country when he made his donation! Check out his post below!
