Did Chris Rock hit the nail on the head at the Oscars or go to far?

Finally, the 88th Oscars came and now is gone. It feels like ever since the beginning of 2016 the Oscars was in every body's conversations. All beginning with Jada Pinkett Smith's video that went viral. She expressed her thoughts on diversity in Hollywood and choose not to attend the Oscars this year. Her video was the first domino to hit the others dominoes in a sense which began the Oscar talk. The question every black entertainer was asked is "Will you be attending the Oscars this year?" I wrote a earlier blog post about the whole story check it here: Should-chris-rock-still-host-oscars.html

I personally did not watch the Oscars but was on the lookout for Chris Rock. Did he do a good job hosting or not? There are many different views of course. Just check the front of these newspapers!

I think Chris Rock did a great job because he addressed what was on every body's mind. He wasn't afraid to poke fun and take jabs here and there. I especially liked how after the jokes were said he made sure to say "we want opportunity!" which truly put together what #whiteoscars was all about. He even brought out Stacey Dash and she uttered the words "Happy Black History Month".....I felt the awkwardness and I wasn't even there! (Thanks to social media) I wonder who the ONE person was that clapped for her? LOL

Anyway, if you missed Chris Rock's opening dialogue don't worry because Jimmy V always has your back. Watch the video below:
